the Artist
Michael Savage
Savage was born in Kansas City where
he attended the University of Kansas. He majored in
Visual Communications and Illustrations not knowing
if he could earn a living as a painter. Mike took
up many painting and drawing classes during his time
at the University and emphasized in art history. After
graduating, Mike spent his spare time developing his
own styel of acrylic painting. His work is bold, consie,
and colorufl, bringing out the fun in all of us. His
big break came in 1987 when a restaurant owner asked
him to display his work there. Since then he has exhibited
his work in many shows and has been commissioned to
do a number of pieces.
