the Artist
Matel Loop
Matel Loop grew up in Lincoln where
she received a BFA at the University of Nebraska in
2000. She then moved to Connecticut where she received
her MFA in photography at Hartford Art School. She
is currently a resident photographer at The Lux Center
for the Arts and will be teaching photography at Dana
University in the fall. Her work consists of using
many different photographic formats and alternative
processes such as Van Dyke and Cyanotypes.
