the Artist
Delores Purdy Corcoran
"I have always loved art, any
form of art. I took lessons from a local professional
watercolorist and moved on to teach myself different
techniques. Art is more than a creation on paer/canvas
or other surfaces, it is an extension of the soul.
I enjoy the depth that can be achieved in watercolor
unlike any other medium. I also enjoy gourds and have
studied the Mound Builders, making masks found within
the mounds. Each gourd has it's own personality and
spirit. Thank goodness I have an understanding family
that shares my passion and cheers me on when I am
creating!"
