Charles "Tim"
Timken
Charles "Tim" Timken received
a Bachelor of Arts degree in fine art and began a
30-year career in graphic design, illustration and
art direction. As a design professional, he received
numerous national awards as he continued to pursue
painting.
In 2001, Tim gave up his design/illustration
profession and became a full-time gallery artist.
Today, he travels throughout the Midwest painting
on location, as well as from photographs and sketches.
His work can be categorized as both representational
and "landscape-inspired" abstraction.
Tim's work has been included in numerous
juried shows and competitions throughout the Midwest
and California and is held in private collections
throughout North and South America.
He is a member of the Mid-America
Pastel Society, the Pastel Society of New Mexico and
'Signature' member of the Pastel Society of America.
